Frequent questions

1. How should I equip myself for the first session?

The specific climbing equipment consisting of climbing shoes, harness, and carabiners will be provided by the gym and is included in the course price. You only need to come with your usual sportswear, such as sneakers, tracksuit or shorts, t-shirt, and a hoodie.

2. How long does a session with an instructor last?

A course session with an instructor lasts approximately 90 minutes, depending on age, fitness level, and group size.

3. What kind of physical preparation should I have before participating in a climbing course?

Having poor physical condition or a few extra pounds is not an impediment to trying climbing. In the Carpatic climbing gym, there are routes for all levels, including very easy ones. Additionally, it’s important to consider that many people compensate for a lower strength level with natural climbing abilities. Last but not least, remember that we will always be there to guide and support you throughout this unique experience!

4. What is the minimum age at which a child can come to Climbing?

The recommended age for sessions with an instructor is 6 years old (+/- 1 year). For children below this age or those who, at first, want to familiarize themselves with climbing on lower walls, we have a special panel designed for them. An instructor is not required for this, and the little ones can play freely and get in touch with climbing.

5. Can I find all the necessary equipment for climbing at the gym?

YES! At Carpatic Climbing Gym, you can find all the necessary equipment, from special climbing shoes to belay systems.

6. Are instructor sessions conducted individually or in a group?

Depending on your preference, the sessions can be conducted both individually and within a group. Typically, a group consists of 3-4 people.

7. Is there a discount for a group of multiple people?

We have offers for group sessions. Please contact us to inquire about the current offer.

8. Under what conditions can a course subscription with an instructor be suspended?

A subscription can only be suspended based on a medical exemption from a family doctor or specialist. Upon returning to the gym within 30 days, the client can make up for the missed sessions. The dates for making up the sessions are determined with the instructor.
